On this team I was responsible for the design of their iOS, Android, iPad and Apple TV apps.
I can’t share the name of this project yet, but what I can say is that this European startup is doing some really innovative things in the music video sharing industry.
When I started at Leanplum my job as the Sr. Director of Design has been to build a world-class design team that can deliver the next generation of marketing automation software.
As part of the leadership team, I’ve been able to witness and participate in the many stages of this company.
I am proud of the strides we as a team have made in 4.5 years. From the endless innovations to the seamless collaboration between product, design and engineering teams all over the world. The knowledge and experience I’ve gained from working at Leanplum is truly invaluable.
At Leanplum, my team and I developed a complete design system. Aligned with the brand guidelines, the design system completely accelerated the entire design process. Combining this new process with a component library, helped us to align seamlessly with the development team.
I believe it is very important to only implement systems and processes, if the team is convinced that it is the right thing at the time.
Instructrr is an early stage startup that is designed to help group fitness instructors. The app allows instructors to cut time creating classes by more than half, giving them more time to focus on quality classes.
I joined the team after the founders bootstrapped the first prototype. Together, we took the app to first 1000 users.
Journey is an amazing meditation app that focuses on live video mediation and the importance of community.
The team did an amazing job but needed help getting the app to the next level which is where I stepped in.
Because I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with clients like Tinder, Lyft, NBC and hundreds more, I was to guide the team and help implement the best practices for optimizing the on-boarding flow and developing features to empower the user community.
Being an entrepreneur and designer at heart, I love coming up with new brands and ideas that make the lives of others a little better.
On of these passion projects was Trainer Circle, a service for self-employed personal trainers. I initially came up with the concept when I was still in Germany, except I focused on helping life coaches with their daily challenges as self employed individuals.
As an entrepreneur, I truly understood how debilitating the logistical side can be. My goal was to make things a bit easier by helping to optimize their marketing and sales efforts which would help things run more efficiently.
This journey took me further than I had imagined and it was great to learn from hundreds of life-coaches and personal trainers.
Another personal project, Caddy was born out of my passion for mentors and my strong belief in community.
I was always fascinated how much a mentor can shape someone else’s life. I was also frustrated how hard it can be to find the right mentor, so I came up with an app that could potentially change that.
This project didn't really get out of the concept phase, but it was a lot of fun researching and designing it. I am happy to discuss and pick it up anytime.
